Chuck Pitts ProDownhill/4x/slalom and Anne Gaylean Pro Women Downhill/4x/Slalom took the long trip north from Ga to NC to NJ.

Ethen Quehl and Ace Savarese Jr. Dh and Giant Salom ,met up with the crew in New Jersey.  Ethan made the finals in Giant Slalom and Dpwnhill

in Pro Men. Anne made the finals and placed 12th in Womens’ Downhill. Ace made the finals in Giant Slalom and finished 15th in Jr men. Chuck just missed qualifying for the pro mens Downhill

with 65th. 

Kovachi Wheels provided tech sevice for the team as well as any racers that needed wheel help at the race.

While there John Kovachi caught up with some old friends and racers Eric Carter, Brian Lopes and verious other others. kw has not attended a large MTB race since the late 90’s .

The Kovachi Wheels factory Team had a great weekend with almost all of our riders at the event. mark doaln and Brandon hopkins both came into town to

compete this weekend.

The 3RD Inaugural vintage BMX Bike Show was packed with bikes from the 70’s,80’s and 90’s. Over 90 Bikes were entered.

The set-up is from 8-10 am. Viewing and judging will held from 10am -2pm.  The result and prizes will be awarded at 3pm . There will be a cookout after the show.

The classes offered will be:

Best 70’s,80’s and 90’s Race , Best 80’s and 90’s Freestyle,Best Cruiser,Best Retro and Best in Show.

Prize number plates and other prizes will be given from our sponsors.

 The bike show has grown  every year and we expect this one to be the best yet. Come out and show you bikes or old schooll stuff and /or check out some very cool bikes and hang out.

Kovachi Wheels will have the Factory team competing in the event. Wheels sales as well as service will be available at the event throughout the weekend.

Kovachi Wheels will be providing Tech service on and sales of wheel products at the event.

Matt Kelty- AA Pro,  Danny Wall -45- 50 cruiser Shan Hatfield -35-40 Expert, Seth Utz -19-25 Expert,  Crystal Kalogris- Junior Women Elite,  Blake Floyd 17-20 Cruiser and 17-18 Expert,  Ryan Deroche  Usac Junior Developement and 15 Expert,  Caleb Wall 11 cruiser and 11 Expert.

Matt Kelty made a strong showing with some great motos finishes but some crashes kept him off of the podium in Elite Men this weekend. Our brand new Elite Women Crystal Kalogiris won her first pro moto and went on to make both main and finished 4th on Day1.

Seth Utz had a great weekend with two wins in the stacked 17-18 Expert.Ryan DeRoche placed 5th on Day1 and 2nd on Day2 in 15 Expert and won the 14-15 Open on day2.

Sarah Gross raced great and placed 3rd on day1 and 2nd on day2 in 13 Girls. Sarah also raced an older combined Girls Cruiser class and finished 4th. Valerie Keyser had her first race since a long injury to place 5th on day 2 in Cruiser.

Drake Rogers made the mains both days on 12 Cruiser.

The team 4th in the National Team Competiton.
